The Jewish Board of Advocates for Children, Inc. (JBAC) is a non-profit corporation founded in New York State in 2008. Our mission is to dedicate ourselves to the proper spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social development of children. The founders recognize a need for a new voice to address the pressing issues of the day in yeshiva and nonpublic school education. Those issues include the health, safety and welfare of all children, the spiraling cost of religious and nonpublic school education, and the quality of education.

Overview: The Board of Jewish Advocates for Children was born out of recognition for the need of such an organization. Our mission is to dedicate ourselves to the proper spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social development of children. We recognize the great economic strain and increasing stresses placed on today's families, which directly affect the outcome of a child’s normal, healthy and safe development and growth. We defend the right each child has to a safe and secure as well as suitable academic and/or spiritual education. We dedicate ourselves to seeking solutions in the face of challenges on legal, financial, social, moral and religious issues. We support a child’s right to be a child, have a normal happy childhood, even make mistakes and recover to continue on their path to a successful and productive future. |
